A Home Away From Your Home

The belief at the Ankeny Pet Salon is to treat every pet as if it were our own. So we understand what it means for you to leave your family member in the care of someone else. For that reason, the care given our boarding guests is very important to us as well. All our guests are attended to with four scheduled times out each day. We walk/exercise first thing in the morning, at noon, prior to closing and an evening walk prior to bedtime. You may personalize your apartment with items from home or use our bedding etc. We have owners bring food from home so the pets diet is not changed, which can cause stress and health problems. We will administer medications as directed if needed.

We have constructed boarding apartments that provide a spacious and attractive housing for your pet while you are away. The apartments feature sanitary wall construction and a full view for your pet to look out and see around the room. The apartments are all interior so they are climate controlled and our regular cleaning keeps everything fresh and pleasant.

We also now offer suites for your pet. These rooms are large enough to accommodate any breed of dog from large to small. They feature the same sanitary wall construction and full view for your pet. Our guests receive the same attention and four scheduled walks daily. Our largest suite is 10 feet by 6 feet. Please call for prices and availability.

For those needing cat boarding, we provide several cat rooms. These vary in size and only one family of cats per room. We provide litter boxes, litter, feeding bowls and bedding as needed. As with our canine guests, our feline guests also must provide their current food so there are no digestive upsets. As always, our staff come in to play with them four times a day.
